How does it work? It's
the PRINCIPAL of THERMODYNAMICS my friend! The bird dunks because his
head is wet and as the water evaporates, it cools the head reducing the
pressure of the gas inside. As the gas shrinks, the liquid inside the
bird expands, rising up from his tail towards his head, causing the bird
to tip over and appear to be drinking. As the bird dunks, the liquid
returns to its tail, and the process begins again. It's a small
thermodynamic engine which ONLY NEEDS WATER TO RUN!
How to
Assemble & Use:
Insert the pivot into the
openings at the top of the two legs so that the bird swings
forward and back freely.
Fill a glass
with cold water. The height of the glass should be a little
lower than the top of the legs.
Put the birds
head into the water and get it completely wet. Place the
bird near the glass and he will begin drinking water by
himself.
Warning: this product is

adult supervision. Avoid breaking glass. May stain clothing and other
surfaces. Do not swallow or allow coming into contact with eyes.
